Okay, I am not a patient person. It really unnerves me to have things half way done. I ended up surprising myself this time however. Rick decided to go ahead and purchased a fridge and microwave in December. The fridge in the garage was over 30 years old, and an energy sucker, and the microwave was possessed. I was like, oh well, I guess I can live with two tones for a while. The old me would have gone crazy, but I kept it together. So when we got a bonus this year we put the majority in savings and eeked out enough to finish the kitchen. I thought I would be thrilled. Don't get me wrong, it makes me smile to look in the kitchen now...but I think I am finally growing up. I guess there are good things about getting older, getting wiser, more patient, and going with the flow.

Soccer, Anyone?
Had the opportunity to attend Ike's and Bays soccer games today. Was I little nervous about being out in the pollen. We have a lot of really tall pines here in Houston. You actually get a yellow dusting of pollen on your car if you park it outside. I don't think I am bothered as bad by the scary looking pollen as I am other less conspicuous ones.
Stared out the morning solo as Rick and I divided and conquered our obligations. Ike was not as interested in soccer today, but sure liked looking at his fancy new soccer shoes as he ran down the field. He got to play goalie for the last quarter.
Cute little guys.
The were glad when Alejandro showed up, he is the star of their team.
Bay also played goalie. Here she is, stopping an attempt at the goal.

Then we were off to Bailey's game. Bri and Ike picked us up. Jarod and Jake were watching the Duke game. Can't believe how grown up Bay is getting. She did a great job.

It was such a beautiful day. I am glad I got to share it with those I love. Gavin will be playing baseball in a few weeks. Wish Virginia was a little closer to Texas. Can't wait to hear about his progress and get pictures! In the mean time, I will enjoy my little soccer players.
Soccer, anyone? Heck, yes! Especially if the weather stays this nice.

Grandma attends Girls Night Out
I am not one to need a girls night out. I love hanging out at home with my best friend. Bri prodded me to get out of my comfort zone and go with her to the ballet. Our cute Sara was dancing that evening and I really love to watch her dance. It is so fun to go when you actually know the ones performing.
We met at Bri's house at 5:00pm and headed downtown. We ate an expensive dinner, and headed for the ballet a few blocks away. We were running a little late. I should have worn flats, kept turning my ankles on our brisk walk to the theater. Made it to our seats right when they shut the doors. We had great seats near the orchestra pit.
Sara was stunning as usual. She is such a beautiful dancer. To think she had a baby this year, and is back to the level she is, was inspiring. The scenery and costumes were exquisite. It was a long ballet, 3 intermissions. We really enjoyed the evening.
Bri and I
Annie, Stephanie, Bri, and Ariel. Was cute to watch these Moms texting their husbands and babysitters during intermissions.
Took this for costume example.
This is the dancer that portrayed Magnificents equal.
The girls
Good job Sara!
It was good to be out and about.

My Bloggitty Book
I think I will always have a love for scrapbooking, but the hobby of blogging my "business" has become a new passion of mine. I am not a witty or an intellectual writer, I don't pretend to be. My mechanics are not as my BYU professor said, "up to my potential," but for some reason I have found a love for this. I have always wanted to print off my blog. In my bored current state of sickness I have spent way too much time on the computer. (it doesn't care if I cough my head off) I thought to myself I am going to look into getting my blog printed. I have blogged quite awhile now and didn't want to have to go through and lay it all out. I found on "Cutest Blog on the Block" a simple solution. I picked a picture for the front, one for the back, the books background, and typed a simple dedication. Put in my Credit Card number, and pressed PURCHASE. Waited for a week, and a few days and WAH LA!
Had I known they were going to put the title on, I would have left it off the picture but...
Dedication

Calling all "ANGRY BIRDS."
This is my 4th attempt at this post!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I am a "ANGRY BIRD" right now!
Benson turned 4 on Tuesday. After a CICI's pizza stop, it was off to our house for cake. I opted out of CICI because of my crud, was happy to be involved with the cake ceremony. After much deliberation it was decided that Benson wanted an "Angry Bird" cake. Elizabeth spent a lot of time making sure that Benson would not be disappointed.
Cute!
More Birds...and a few nemesis Pigs.
"The Queen of Cakes."
My "sick"attempt at card making.
