The Last Halloween Hoorah!

Bay couldn't go to school today because she had a fever last night. So I invited the grand kids over for a impromptu Halloween party. Everyone has places to go and things to do on Saturday, so I thought it would be a good idea. We had pizza and let the kids play, then they got to take their "Boo Boxes" home.

Bay was happy not to miss out, but probably would have preferred school.

Bryn got to chew on the crust.

My good eater Benz didn't let me down.

Ike even enjoyed a few bites of pizza!

Seemed a little empty without the J Wallace's.

Then a got pictures of each one with their "Boo Boxes."

I think I am Halloweened OUT!!!!!!!!!!
Bring on Thanksgiving and Christmas.........are you kidding me UGH!

BOO BOXES R FINISHED!

Every Halloween for the last four years my Sis and I have come up with ways to say Happy Halloween to our grandchildren. For two years we did "BOO Books," cute books made out of brown paper sacks and adorned with all sorts of hoopla. Last year we did "BOO Buckets," paint cans covered with scrapbook paper and tied with ribbon filled with Halloween goodies. This year it was............ "BOO Boxes." I must be CraZy. I thought these would be a lot easier than previous years...not so much. After having modge podge in my fingernails for a week, and little scraps of everything all over the floor, they are done.

This is what my beautiful Olivia room looked like yesterday. You should see it now! But................"Boo Boxes" are done!

Mailed Gavin's and Layney's this morning. I then went up to my room and didn't come out until the rest were finished!

Bay's, Benson's, and Bryn's ready for delivery to the Wallace household, and Ike's, for the Stewart's.

They were not my favorite thing we have done. I was not patient enough! I know that the kids will like what is inside, and it is their opinion that counts!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

HaPPy BIrthdAy RiCk!

It was Rick's Birthday on Saturday. We had a good day. He started it off with a brisk walk in the fall like weather while I stayed home and made pancakes. We attended a session at the Houston Temple around noon. Then it was off to Lupe Tortilla for an early evening meal. Brandon, Elizabeth and kids, and Bri, Jarod and Ike came over to join us. After dinner we had a delicious Pumpkin Orange (Birthday) Cake made by Elizabeth. We watched Utah, and BYU football and talked.

I think we have celebrated his last 38 birthday's together.

Brynley enjoyed licking the babyfood jar lid clean. She is so cute, she has Benz cute little crop of hair that likes to stick straight up.

Brandon's family probably should have stayed home in bed... they all have colds. We were glad they came though.

Jarod, Ike and Bri. We thought maybe little Jacob would be born today, but he must prefer Mom's Belly. Papa was just sure he would come on his birthday.
How do you quiet three rowdy children? Give them a peppermint and let them sit by the fountain. Ike, Benz, and Bailey.

If we all come down with colds this week , we know why. Too many sick candle blowers, but they sure are CUTE!

Another good reason to go to Pappasitos

Kevin (my late sister Paula's husband), Michelle, and boys had a lay over in Houston yesterday. They were returning from a week in Cancun. We haven't seen them for a long time, so it was good to get together. Their boys have grown so much.

The weather was beautiful, so it made the wait bearable.

Bri and her cousin Sarah are expecting within a month of each other. Thus the bellies.

The grand kiddles were great. Good food...good times.

MISSING!

As I was scrolling down through my blog I noticed two of my kiddles were MISSING in action.
I can tell you that this Guggy is truly MISSING them. Gavin and Laynie are getting to experience "Fall" first hand in Virginia. This is a picture of them at their favorite pumpkin farm. I can't believe how much they have grown in a few months.

A day at the farm

Gavin's first day of School went off without a hitch.

Laynie trying to impress us with her potty training skills. CUTE!

I am so glad we got to spend so much time with them in Texas. Hopefully they will be back home before we know it.

Our cute little "Sock Hopper."

Bays school is having a "Sock Hop" fund raiser tonight. Loo, the "supermom" she is, made her this darling poodle skirt. Isn't it adorable? She looks so grown up! Loo also made Brynley one. Can't wait to see more pictures.

Last of Halloween Decor...

Just need to put up the outside lights and I am done.

I was happy to find a few more fancy pants pumpkins to finish up my display.

My sister and I made these cute "BOO Buckets" and stuffed them with fun for our grand kids last year. Haven't even started on something for this year. Fun idea for neighbors and such.

Found this cute lady, Ike thinks she is scary.

Mantle is a little bit simpler look this year.

My daughter and daughters -in -laws always pitch in for my cause. Thanks for the cute plate Bri.

Thanks for the two new pumpkins Becky and Bri.

Aren't they cute?

Thanks for the new table cloth Loo. It matched the bows I tied for the banister perfectly.

I got this ribbon 3 or 4 years ago...can you believe how well it matches.

Things that made me smile today!

I had a lot to be thankful for today, would be ungrateful if I didn't mention some... A phone call that reported Ike quit throwing up. Another phone call that Laynie Jo is growing like a weed. A cute boy in Virginia (Gav) who obeyed his Mom when she told him it was time to go inside. A boy who finally took his medicine without spitting it on my shirt. (Matchbox cars are great bribes) A granddaughter (Bay) who loved finally being back at school after a rough week with the flu. Benson who finally started eating after his tonsillectomy. Cute Brynley who enjoyed eating the veggies from the left over roast I made them Sunday night. Putting out my Halloween yard art. and last but not least, a husband who puts up with his sometimes selfish, tired wife.

We stopped to get a bite to eat before heading over to Brandon's tonight. I should have known that my coke wasn't going to be mine for long. We let Benson drink anything he will at this point.

Then he went for my pickles and my hamburger. He has hardly eaten anything for 3 days, so I was glad to share.
I cooked veggies with a roast I took them Sunday night. Brynley appreciated every bite! So did her hair, eyes, ears,...you get the point.

I love the work of my favorite yard art man.

The kiddles love it too!
