Hope for the Best, Plan for the Worst...Part II

Are you kidding me.  Tuesday Rick comes home from work limping.  It has happened before (bad knees), but the night before we are to leave to Virginia?  Forward to Wednesday, 4:00am in the morning.  Rick can hardly walk. We need to leave. He decides to stay home.  I get ready to go.  He decides last minute to try.  It was not good. Got Jarod to drop us off at the curb and it was down hill from there.  After walking and standing through check in, by the way no curbside check in E terminal! We finally get one of the carts to take us to the gate, just barely in time to board the plane. Hobble, hobble on the plane.  Land in Virginia, no carts! Wait for wheel chair too long. Mile walk to the tram to get bags, and another walk to the curb.

Finally some happiness, Becky is there with kids.  Get bags in car head for their house. We enjoyed the next 6 days.  I felt terrible that Jamie and Beck gave up their master bedroom for us to stay in.  We hung out at home most of the time. We enjoyed taking the family to "Famous Dave's", and "Red Robbin's House" as all the grand kids call it, for dinners. I played snowball (dodge ball), read story's, worked on school, played Lego's, played princess, gave bathes, watched movies, made movies on the camera, played jewelry, played charades, taught Gavin how to play "Angry Birds",  went to "Cars 2",  wrestled dog, saved toys and things from dog's mouth, potty breaks for dog, popped poppers on the 4th, went for a short drive to Middleburg to enjoy Virginia's scenery, blessing of baby Audrey, and  (mostly) snuggled the most adorable baby girl ever.

Papa's ipad was the kids favorite.

Taught Gavin a bad habit.  He loved playing "Angry Birds."

Got to kiss these cheeks 100 times or more.

Got to take a lot of cute pictures, finally have some for my picture frames!

This is one of my favorites..

Becky's cute sister MeMe is their nanny for the summer. The kids love her!

Melts my heart.

Those BLUE eyes!

Papa even got in some "Baby Time."

Laynie loved playing with my jewelry, purse, and reading my "Martha Stewart" magazine.

Laynie counting the rings on her fingers.

BLESSING DAY

Then today the nightmare started all over again.  Walk to terminal,  tried to push Rick uphill to the gate, delayed flight, delayed landing, and to top it off... one of two bags ends up missing. More hobbling for Rick and a major melt down for me! Thank heavens for the time spent with my babies.
