One wall down, more to go... or should I say DO?

The final product for a while anyway. Most of the grand kids toys tucked away and room for (some) of their books and movies. Game rooms are a great inventions. Now I have the living room for visitors, and the family room to relax and watch our favs, and a game room (now a little more organized) for the kiddles and their stuff. I thought of giving up on my farm house look, but just couldn't do it. You know me and pigs.

Painting the house is fun to do, to do, to do, to do...

We had 2 months to paint before the entertainment center from Pottery Barn was to be delivered. When did we paint? 3 hours before it was delivered. Go figure. When we first got married I just thought when it was time to paint we would call someone to do it. WRONG. Rick had another idea, we paint the house. I never had painted a wall in my life up to that point. We painted every wall in our West Jordan home before we moved. Now, we have painted more than 1/3 of our home in Houston. The upstairs really needs it. We are doing the game room in stages. It is pretty big, and we are getting old! This weekend was the media wall.
This is the entertainment center, it is awesome. It took them forever to deliver it to us, but it was worth the wait. I will post pics when I am finished putting things all together.

EasTer FUN and FashioN

What a day for all. I think a day at church and Easter Dinner at Guggy's makes for one long day. We had a great dinner thanks to every ones contribution. Honey Baked Ham, funeral potatoes, rolls, salads, fruit, and cake with Blue Bell ice cream. Our plan was to take family pictures but ... I got some cute individual ones though.

Finally got some cute pics of Brynley. Grandma Leseberg smocked her dress, it was gorgeous. Doesn't Looli make beautiful bows?

Laynie was cute, but don't ask her to walk on the grass! She stayed on the patio the entire time we were outside. She didn't cared if she found any eggs, she was not walking on the grass. Gavin helped her find her eggs.

Ike just loved being outside. He had fun finding the eggs with money in them. He shook them so hard the money fell out in the grass. The lawn mowers are going to love us next Saturday!

Benz is sporting his new sling. Mom sewed a football on it, and he loves it! Benson found a soccer ball egg and spent the rest of his egg hunt kicking the plastic soccer ball around the yard. Bay helped him hunt for a few more eggs.

Gavin loved finding eggs. He had to be fast to beat Bay to the eggs. He even posed for a few pictures. He had fun playing golf, blowing bubbles and playing tools.

Here is Bay in her beautiful Easter Dress, she looked so cute. She is really growing up. She is so helpful. She loved to hunt for Easter Eggs too. She is fast at gathering them.

Here are some of our attempts to get some pictures. Gavin was posing for a change, but Laynie wanted nothing to do with it.

Here is a cute one of Bay and Bryn. Wish I would have been closer up.

Liked the light on this pic.

Ike glued to the TV watching "Cars" while we finished up with dinner.

Fun to have Sarah and Israel. Thanks for coming!
Hope we don't scare you with all these kiddos running around!

Benz kicking his favorite find.

Our weak attempt of taking a group pic. We were singing, and making funny noises trying to get kids to smile. Benz was having nothing to do with the camera. Oh Well!!!

Happy Easter!!!!!!!

Pre-Easter Activities

I should be cleaning my dirty house, but these pictures were too cute not to come right up stairs and blog. Looli organized and Easter Egg Hunt for the Cypress Chicks (cypresswood ward mommies and kids). I was going to clean and miss out on the fun. Then I started to worry if Benz would be okay with all the other kids running around, and who would take pictures? I gave in, and drove down to the park to find some pretty cute Easter egg hunters. Ike missed out had to go to Doc for checkup. We will have plenty more eggs to hunt at Guggy's. I think I have 90 or so... I will definitely get more pictures.

Gavin's first find.

Bailey posing for Guggy.

I could not get Laynie to smile. Still pretty stinkin' cute!

I know I put that egg somewhere in my bag!
It was a good diversion for Benz, its hard being two and not being able to run and play.

Benz is getting pretty good at having one hand to work with.
Mom helped him hold the basket.

These two are the cutest buddies ever. How fun that they have such a strong bond.
Brynley was taking a nap in the stroller. It's my goal to get pictures of her on Sunday.

Lick'n the spoon clean!

Today after spending some quality time with Benz, I had to hurry home to bake a cake for a dinner tonight. Got the cake baked (I will spare you the ugly picture of me and the cake), fruit washed and cut up, and the cream whipped. Ike happened to be visiting and was having a fruit snack when we decided he could lick the spoon from the cream. He loved it! He was a little timid at first and then he really got in to it. Oh to be a kid again!

CUTE!

ER

I knew this day would come eventually but it didn't make it any easier. With 6 grandchildren you know that one day you are going to get that call. Looli called me from the ER yesterday to come help with Benz. He fell off the kitchen chair and landed on his head and shoulder. The head was graced with a good bump, but the shoulder didn't fair as well (broken collar bone). He was crying so hard. It made my heart ache for him. He is doing a little better. Brandon said he slept pretty good last night. Believe me, I know there are a lot worse things to deal with in life, but for this Guggy it was a sad, sad, day.
