Back to School

Had a blast from the past today when I took lunch to Bay, at Keith Elementary. I worked in Cyfair ISD for 5 years after we moved to Houston. It reminded me of my "Yeager" days the last year or two to be exact. Cute Grandmas would bring their grand kids unhealthy things to eat like McDonalds, the list goes on and on. In my mind I would think, why would they do this?.... Now I know. It is for a big smile that lasts the whole 30 minutes you are there.

Bay got in the lunch room early and was waiting for me. She was so happy her Guggy didn't forget like she usually does other things. Her little piggies that Mom had so neatly put in her hair, were destroyed, but she was smiling from ear to ear. She let me attempt putting her hair back in order. I know OCD!

She ate the whole thing...
Then this critical Guggy surprised her with a McFlurry that she had prepared in it's own insulated container to keep it from melting. It didn't melt one bit!

Lunch time was scarce. I promised to drop off her dessert at home so she could finish it for an after school snack. She had to go over and sit with her class for dismissal. Of course heads down no talking, take note Utah!

Bay had lunch tote duty this week for her job. She hates this because she has to carry the kids lunch bags back to her room in a big tote and it cuts in on recess time, but notice she is still smiling!

I love FALL!

Today is Jamie's Birthday it made me kinda of sad that we would not all be together to celebrate tonight. So... I got this bright idea of getting my FALL and HALLOWEEN decorations out to celebrate that it isn't going to get in the 90's this week! Well... I got them out, and sat on the couch for about 20 minutes starring at the mess I had just made. Slow but surely, little by little, I started putting things up. But... I am still not done. Progress of today's mess.
I can't believe it took me the whole day to do this!

Put the Halloween Village I've been collecting from Kohl's on top of the entertainment center. Less temptation for my kiddles.

Put vinyl words on my wall. I had done this at Christmas last year and messed it up... this one worked out pretty good. Still need to get out the fall plates and a few things.

These are my "Fancy Pants" pumpkins from our Pumpkin Lady in Tomball. I have collected her pumpkins for about 8 years.

These are the ones with faces. She names each one after she makes them and puts it on a tag and attaches it to the pumpkin. I have left them on because I don't want to forget their names.

I made a weak attempt of fixing my mantel, but this is as far as it got...
