These BOOTS are made for WALK'N...

It's "Rodeo Houston" time in Texas. All the schools celebrate what they call "Western Days." The children are allowed to dress up in their finest duds, and most of them do! When I was working in the schools here in Houston, I use to think to myself it would be fun to get boots for the grand kids to wear. Little did I know that thought would become a reality. Bay had "Western Day" today at preschool. Yesterday we were rounding up an outfit for her to wear. I found a red bandanna, and a bolero tie that was her Great, Great, Grandfather Sowards. I just knew she needed red cowgirl boots to complete the outfit. With a little help from Brianne picking them up, we pulled it off. How did we do?

The RED boots

Cute little Cowgirl!

I got to snuggle with Bryn and play with Bay while Mom took Benz to the doctor. STREP throat for Benz, now we know why he hasn't slept for a few days!!

Bryn was cooing away on my bed. Couldn't resist taking a picture. Isn't she pretty?

Don't burst my bubble!!!

Ike and Bri stopped by today, two hours before I had dinner for eight people. Those that know me, know I would rather have a root canal than entertain. I had worked hard all day long and was stressed with last minute details. Just one look at Ikes face when he watched the bubbles, helped relax my nerves and made me smile. Just for that one moment I wasn't stressed. Thanks Ike for not bursting my bubble, but for helping it fly away!

A Boy and His Doughnut ("Balls") Holes.

Benz is a boy after my own heart, he loves doughnuts. The ball shape of the doughnut holes is an added bonus to a boy who loves any and every kind of ball. So thus the "doughnut balls." Benz and I had a Guh alone time today. When Mom told me he hadn't eaten much breakfast and might be a little hungry, I had the perfect excuse to head to Shipley's for "doughnut balls."

There is a dozen in every bag.

He thought he might need a blueberry cake doughnut on the side.

I tried to break them up, but time after time he stuck the whole ball in his mouth.

He would eat a few "balls" and nibble on the doughnut.

Then when he was full (after 8 or so) he was trying to bounce them on the table. Wouldn't ya know it, those dumb "doughnut balls" wouldn't bounce !

LOOK who's ONE!

We had a early evening birthday party for Laynie tonight. I can't believe she is one. Loo and Brandon got her a BD outfit with bows to match. CUTE.
Great job on the cake Becky!
Anticipating.
Yum! She didn't quite know how to go about eating the whole thing.

Laynie received a whole new spring and summer wardrobe. Her DAD even picked this one out. Good job DAD!

She got cute dresses! More interested in eating the hanger though.

She will be a "Fancy Nancy" in all her new clothes.

It is so sweet to see how much the cousins love one another. Gav and a tender moment with Brynley.

Who won the Super Bowl?

After a quick bite to eat consisting of soppy joes, little smokies, chips, dips, and veggie tray the girls and kids headed up to the game room. Even though the TV was on, there was not much time for watching. The girls talked and refereed the kids as they played. Tonight was a little different though, Becky decided to entertain us with our own football game.

When all else fails give them some bubble wrap!

Do these make my bottom look big? Bryn in her Valentine outfit.

Benson probably watched more of the game than any of us. He enjoyed playing as he watched the game.

The computer and Play House Disney was a good deterrent.
This is a random shot of Gavin's creativity. He made his family out of Potato heads.

Brianne sent me this picture of Bryn and I on Jarod's Birthday. Nothing better than holding a baby.
