DiStRAcTioN

This has been a crazy week.  But, because of my obsession with politics, I was glad to be distracted. Brandon called early Tuesday morning to say that he needed to take Elizabeth to the ER.  We thought she had something more serious but ended up with a bad stomach virus.  I helped out a little for the next few days. Then came home to finish a project in my craft room.  The weekend found us at basketball games of two of our grandchildren, Bailey and Ike.  Hopefully I can wean myself from the politics. Have plenty of things coming up to keep me busy... I hope.

I still need to go to Ikea and get some cubbies for the craft room closet. This is a big walk in that was filled to the brim. All the stuff at the end of the closet will be in the cubbies.  I took a ton of stuff out of here. Let's call this the before shot.  Hopefully the after will be better.

I can finally see my desk top.  It was smothered with all kinds of stuff. So glad to get it back to normal.

Went to watch Bailey play BBall.  She is doing pretty good at defense, and learning how to play offense.

Ike is having a good year.  We just need to tell him he can't leave the game to give me a hug. I do like the hugs though.

They had the cutest team!

January....

January has been off to a slow start. Christmas is put away, and my renewed spirit to clean out closets and clutter has begun. We celebrated Brianne's Birthday on the 31st of December, and have got heavily involved with the political process on TV anyway.  The oak tree out front is dumping acorns on us, again.

Looli made the fabulous chocolate cake.  We got together last minute to celebrate.

Hard working Jakie!  He was so excited to help Papa with the small rake we had.  He worked for quite awhile and then told his Papa he was done!

As for politics... I am learning how much power the media has to influence the way people think.  We use to love watching Fox, but lately we have notice how sly they are at sneaking their own message in their programming.  This is my blog and I can SHOUT how I feel about it.

I am a" MORMON".
I pay taxes.
I am a hard worker
I am a faithful wife of 36 years.
I have raised 3 good children, all with college degrees.
I have 8 beautiful grandchildren that are being raised to be good citizens.
I volunteer at various schools, church, and community shelters.
I taught my children to serve others, to never give up, to respect others, to be good citizens, to tell the truth, to seek after things worthy of their time, to share their talents, to work hard at whatever they do.
I love life.
I love my Family.
I love my country.
I love God.

Are these bad qualities?  Would someone with these attributes be a menace to the country?
Guess what?  Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman are both outstanding individuals.  They have done a lot to make this country better.  Talk about contrast.  I can't look at Newt Gingrich's negativity as an asset.  He is an ugly, hateful, individual.  How Un-Presidential his demeanor is.  Can you imagine if he treated others, such as foreign dignitaries that way? If I had to pick one to watch over my grandchildren for a day, it would NOT be Gingrich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  How about all you  bloggers out there?
