OUT and ABOUT

I went with Rick on a quick overnight business trip this week. Can't say it was relaxing but, we stayed in a neat place in Grapevine, Texas called the Gaylord. Apparently there is one in Tennessee. It was a fun place. The inside was dedicated to a Texas theme. Remake of the Alamo in one section, a taxidermy long horn, beautiful flowers, and even a miniature canyon representing the Big Bend area. We had the best steak I've ever eaten at one of the restaurants. I also found some gorgeous turquoise jewelry to match some things I already had. Fun but short get away.

Tried to get a picture of the massive roof over the Hotel.

This section represented the River Walk in San Antonio.

more of the same..

View from our balcony.

Loved the beautiful flowers.
I think this was representing the Big Bend area.

They had sereral minature trains running through out the grounds.

trains...

It was good to be out and about.

Let the GaMeS Begin!

Along with Spring, comes soccer and baseball. Gavin is playing his very first season of soccer, it is so sad that we can't watch him play. We hear he liked it better this week than last. Go Gavin!

Bay is playing coach pitch baseball and is the only participating girl on the team. There should be three more but they have not shown up to play. Right now Bay is out playing the boys on her team. She was 2 for 3 batting today and had her head in the game the whole time.

I guess when all the grand kids are playing, it will be an all Saturday event for us. Even after watching our children play hundreds of games and all types sports, we still love it. So let the games of 2010 begin!

Gavin posing in his 1st soccer uniform.

Gavin celebrating after the game.

Two of Gavin's cheerleaders! Laynie and Jamie enjoying the sunshine after a long winter in Virignia.

Bay kept her eye on the ball... it paid off...two good hits!

Cutest B-Ball player!

Brynie the cheerleader.

Benz had to play catch with Dad. He sat and watched... until he just couldn't stand it any longer.

Bay's Program...BUGZ!

We had a night of firsts. First elementary school program of a grand child. Ended up at Marble Slab for a treat. Bay bit into her cone and her tooth got really loose. After everyone tried to pull it, I pulled it out for her. It was the first tooth she lost.

Bay posing with her art display. Mom and Dad got her flowers for her good performance.

This is a pic of their firefly song, crazy the way the camera caught the light.

Bay's speaking part.She did a great job!

Wildflowers 2010 or should I say wild things!

What a WILD day, in the WILD flowers, with WILD things!
Ended up at our usual spot. There where a lot more people around than I ever remember.

Beautiful colors this year, we even managed to see some we haven't seen before.

Our WILD things. It was Ike's turn this year to hate having pictures but we managed getting a few.

We could not for the life of us get WILD things to look at the camera. We even tried a whoopee cushion to occasionally crack a smile or a glance.

My favorites of Jacob.

Two of my favorite people.

My favorites of Brynley, who by the way was pretty good.

Our cute little goat.

My favorites of Ike. Can you tell Ike is loving it!

Good thing Ike can't read. The sign states: Do not pick the flowers!

His day did end up on a high note!

Benz wasn't really in to this flower thing either, but he was more tolerant than last year. My favorites of Benz.

Cute!

Bay was a model. She rocked at posing and being good.

She is growing up way too fast.
Me and Bri

I bet they can't wait until next year.

Family time is what it is all about! Brandon's Family.

Bri's Family

Papa and Guggy's WILD things!

All I can say it was definitely a WILD kind of day!

We missed you Jamie, Becky, Gavin and Laynie!

Looli also made cupcakes for the kids. White chocolate bunny ears and all!

Looli made these darling jumpers for her girls, and sewed carrots on all the boy's shirts.

This was the highlight of the day for me. The 3 Stooges. Ready set GO!

They were so fun to watch.

Bay...one of the faster eggs hunters.

Benz wanted Bay to share.

Ike enjoyed finding eggs too.

Cute pic of Benz.

The HAPPY egg hunters!

Then it was bubble time.

The activity to close the day was confetti eggs getting smashed all over the drive way.

Good thing we had a clean up crew! Thanks Jarod.

HAPPY EASTER!
