COPING

How does one cope with the absence and smell of crisp fall leaves raked in mounds all over the front yard. A wardrobe consisting of Levis (my favorite overalls), a long sleeved sweater, and warm socks. Looking at the beautiful mountains of the Wasatch Front, Daniels Canyon, Alpine Loop, and Ashley National Forest, dotted with the most brilliant golds, reds, and oranges found on the artist's pallet. The bite of a cool breeze that leaves a natural red glow on your cheeks. Football, hot chocolate, and a roaring fire, crackling in the fire place. One just tries to pretend that they don't live in one of hottest, most dreadful climates in the United States, by DECORATING for fall. Just looking around my house takes me out of a cruel reality of living with Fall temperatures in Houston. Enjoy!

Rick thinks I am a little crazy for decorating so soon. What he doesn't know is that it keeps me from getting that way. So for now, let the coping begin!

PEACE

Today, I had a big list of things to do.  I have been sick with allergies (surprise) the last few days and nothing has gotten finished around here.  Shirts to iron, floors to be mopped, dusting, on and on,  3 projects need to be finished, but for some reason had the feeling to go eat lunch with Bay at school.  I might not ever know the reasoning behind it, but that's what I did.  I even invited Bri and Jakie, (Ike was at school), and Loo and the children to come too.  Thanks to Papa who funded this excursion! I know I will be interrogated on that later, but for now I am at peace with my decision.  And being at peace with oneself is important.

We had a great time!
