Happy 31st Birthday Brandon?

It was suppose to be a HAPPY birthday celebration last night for Brandon.. I think he had one? I hope so, because it must have been a full moon... the kids did NOT! Usually we can make it through these celebrations without too much chaos, but not last night! Brandon decided he wanted to go to our fav Chinese food place, the food was great! They put us right by the fish tank, so the kids could watch he fish while we ate right? No, we couldn't sit in our chair and look, we needed to get up close and personal and bang the glass with our car. Then Guggy got out the playdoh for the kids while we tried to finish eating. No, that was a bad idea. Benson thought he needed all the playdoh. Jacob decided that he should be passed around like one of the side dishes. Little goat decided she could feed herself and the floor quite nicely, thank you. Bailey just had to endure all the backlash from the adults being frustrated. She won the prize for the best behaved. I promised her a Guggy day in the near future. Papa comments were not so happy as we were summing up the evening either,"next time lets just order in the food." Am I upset, "NO". Today, I can just laugh about it!

Happy Birthday to you...

Things were going pretty good at first...

Notice Ike in the back ground getting ready to whack the tank.

Eat and pass it on...

Little goat pulled her piggy out, and let it be known that she wanted to eat all by herself.

Benz got his way too... the orange and the blue playdoh!

Bay was great!

CRAW FISH BASH AT NEWLANDS COURT

What do you do on a beautiful spring day in Texas? Craw fish Boil! I really don't care much for seafood, but a beautiful day, good neighbors, and other good eats, equals a good day at Newlands Court.

Some of our boiled friends!

Have I ever mention how much we like our little street in Tomball, Texas. We have a lot of great neighbors which makes it fun to be here. They are always planning fun things to do around here.

Newlands Court

Party central is always at David and Lesley's house. We live on the ride side of their house.

They always make it fun for the kids which there were a lot of.
David and Lesley have lived here since we moved in ten years ago. They have 2 girls, and 3 big dogs. We have loved having them as our neighbors.

Dave

There were previous neighbors, as well as all of us who have stayed. Tons of food.

Jennifer Pratt and her family were there. They moved a year ago because they needed a bigger house, but still live close by. She runs with some other good friends of ours.
I have never seen so many craw fish, hot and steamy! eeew!

They would pour them into coolers and put lemon and spices on them.

Okay, I was very brave. I ate this one, because I didn't have to touch it! Wasn't too bad, but I'm still not a fan. One of our neighbors gave us a demonstration on how to get to the meat. Then he sucked the stuff out of the head of the thing, eeewwww!!!!!

All that work for a tiny piece of meat.

Rick working on his plate of craw fish.

Jerry, sitting to the left of Rick , just returned from Haiti. He was telling us about his experience.

This last picture is for Bri, Looli, and Becky, don't faint, I made homemade frosting. Where is Becky when I need her? Have a whole container of extra frosting in the fridge! The kids loved them!

All in all, a good day for a craw fish boil in Tomball, Texas, on Newlands Court.

Spring=Field Days

Miss Bailey had field day at her school today. Tried my best to get there, but was only there to see the last race. She was on the blue team. Her mom made her a special blue bow for her hair. She was all smiles and said, "It was the best field day ever!"
Bay with her cute painted face.

Benz was all cuddled up in my coat to keep warm. Even though the sun was out, the wind cooled things off a bit.

Brynley enjoyed the fruit roll ups and crackers I brought.
Bay loved that they got a snow cone at the end of the day!

It was worth the effort to get there just to spend time with my Kiddles.

Have I mentioned....

Have I mentioned how sad it makes me that Jamie's family moved? It is hard to keep my blog updated, not to mention just not having them around to celebrate special occasions. Laynie's birthday was on February 13th and I forgot to post pictures. Even though we weren't there, I loved the pictures Becky posted on their blog.

Laynie and Gavin blowing out candles on Laynie's cute cake. Good job Mom!

We chipped in with Becky and Jamie to buy her a kitchen, equipped with a phone of course. BTW this little two year old knows how to use a phone she will talk your ear off.

Her Great Grandma made her hot pads, table clothe, and an apron which she wore over her TUTU that Aunt Loo made for her. As you can see, she got everything she needed.

More presents!
I know they love Virginia, but I hope Exxon ships them back to Houston in the near future! We sure do miss them!

"I Yike my Birfhday!"

Benson has thoroughly enjoyed his birthday. We celebrated today, because Bri and Jarod didn't get home until late last night. We all headed over to Brandon and Elizabeth's for ice cream and cake.
Benson thought that it was cool to stick his tongue out every time I ask to take a picture of him. It was his birthday, so I let him. He would view the picture as soon as I took it and laugh and laugh.

Love it...
Then it was time to open presents. Brandon and Bri and Jarod anticipating the festivities.
Papa had Jake duty. Cute kissy cheeks!
Benson got a lot of loot.
I got Benz a backpack for preschool this fall. "Cars" of course!

I think this gift is more for Mommy. Benz needs to be potty trained before preschool starts. He thought the gift was quite funny! He looked at Loo like "are you serious!"

Then he tried it out.

Brandon entertained himself by making the balloon static so Brynie's hair would stick straight up.

Great cake Looli! Benson was thrilled with his cake.

He huffed and he puffed but....

Mom finally had to help blow out the candles.
Every one enjoyed the cake. Bay was a good helper the whole evening.

Ike could hardly stand waiting for his piece.

Yum! Happy Birthday... cute little Goon!

We missed you Jamie, Becky, Gavin and Lanyie!
