Guggy's week in pictures!!!

The week started out with "Bed Snacks" we should probably rename it "Sugar High". The Wallace clan takes turn hosting "Bed Snacks" on Sunday nights. We get together once a week and catch up on what has happened and what's going to happen. It has become a fun tradition. Five year old Bailey made the Banana Cream Pie. Delish!

Bay the pie maker eating a cookie.

Benz enjoyed a cookie or two.
"Sweet Pea" came to visit in more ways than one.
Becky was over our way on Tuesday and stopped by to visit. I fixed grilled cheese for the adults and Laynie enjoyed her peas for lunch.

Friday it was a quick lunch and the park. Looli had a rough night, kids were on the cranky side so she didn't join us. The kids and the moms had fun. Our subdivision has several nice parks. It was a gorgeous day!

Happy Birthday Jarod!!!!!!! We celebrated Jarod's birthday tonight at "Lupe's Tortilla" our other favorite Mexican Restaurant. Kids were a little antsy but the food was good.

My best eater.

My most well behaved.

My cutest stinker!

My favorite fashion model!

My most photogenic.

My wild cowboy!!!

Of coures we played the truck game again. Sorry Utah, it was a beautiful 71 degrees.

Of course we had to ride all the garden art.

Then it was off to Brianne and Jarod's house for dessert.

Betty Crocker "Brianne" made a great ice cream cake.

Our own nursery!
Stay tuned, tomorrow night Super Bowl Party at Guggy's!

InSpecTor Gavin

I watched Gavin for a couple of hours Wednesday while Mom took Laynie to the doctor. He had a great time inspecting and exploring.

He inspected every inch of the culdesac. Sticking his finger in every nook and cranny in the road.

He was fascinated by all the different textures and shapes of the imperfections of the road.

He found treasures everywhere he went.

He threw leaves, crunched leaves, and tore leaves up. There was a slight wind that would cause the leaves to dance down the street. He would run after them trying to catch each one as it moved along.

This was the inspectors mode of transportation.

It had a cool place for storing his treasures.

All in all as Inspector Gavin reflected on his adventures, he had quite a productive day!

A few of my favorite things.

There are many things in my life that make me happy. The most being my husband, children (son-in law, daughters in law), grandchildren, and extended family. I have nine brothers and sisters all of which I admire in different ways, and a mother who my grandfather always referred to as an angel on earth. It would take forever to post all their pictures, but maybe someday.

There are also a few other things that I have found bring me happiness. I know that they are just things, but I am grateful for them anyway.

My laptop. When one of my sons lived in Utah, it was so fun to jump on the computer and video cam with his family. I loved reading bedtime stories to my granddaughter at night. This technology let me have that great opportunity. Now through blogging I have the opportunity to write my history and share my life with those far away.

Born shoes. For those of us who were "born" with extra wide feet what a joy to be able to buy cute stylish shoes that feel wonderful on my feet. A little pricey, but totally worth every penny.

My kitchen sink is awesome. Huge and deep able to wash the biggest pans, and probably one of my older grand kids.

My digital picture frame that runs morning and night flashing pictures of special times with family and friends.

My newest purchase, a flat iron. I love it. Its the first time in eight years (since we moved to Houston) that my hair hasn't been frizzy.

My cell phone with crazy ring tones that the grand kids love to dance to.

My garage door opener. We didn't have one of these most of the 20 years we lived in Utah.

My picture of downtown Salt Lake. When I get homesick, yes I still get homesick. I look at this picture and smile. It has many places on its canvas that have special meaning to me.

My Olivia the pig collection. Growing up in the 50's with a name like mine wasn't cool. Always misconstrued and mispronounced. Picking up souvenirs from vacations with Olivia on them, out of the question. So thus, the implosion of Olivia the Pig in my scrapbooking room.

Scrapbooking is the most fun I have outside of my family. I love to go up in this room and pudder around. You can find me scrapping pictures, making cards, visual aids, or handouts for church, in my hiding place.

Children's books, how I love them. I love to read to my grandchildren. This is just a sample of what I have.

My Americana room. I was so over whelmed with the events of 911. I saw a coming together of America, that touch me deeply. I decided to make a room in my house reflective of my patriotism.

Just thought I would share some of my favorite things.

Like father like son, like daughter?

My sweet little grandaughter emulating her father and brother's hat placement.
Too cute!!!!

Ouch!!!!
How does one break their toe on an ottoman three years ago, and do it again three years later on the same ottoman. Rick said, "It was you," that explains it! Thanks dear, " I love you too"!!! Long story. Ouch!!!!

Pleasantly Surprised!!

When the girls called today and wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese, I wasn't looking forward to it. 6 kids 5 and under out together? I thought crowds, dirty, noisy, and just not fun. Boy, was I wrong. The one on 1960 by Willow Brook Mall was clean, brightly lit. We got there at 10:30am and it wasn't crowded. In fact, we were the first group there. The kids had a great time, and so did their Guggy. We have decided this is a once a monther (I know, not a word) for sure!

Laynie was a doll. She is the best baby.

4 Cute kids in a MonStER TrUcK.
The KiDDos were great. Correct me if I'm wrong girls, but I don't think one of the six kids were out of line today. WoW!
Brnyley's first playdate.

Isn't it funny...

Isn't it funny the money we shell out to buy our grandkids or children fancy expensive toys when the can have more fun with a tub of playdoh??? Ike played with it for about 40 minutes. That's the longest Ike has ever spent playing with anything.

Ike exploring the playdoh.

We played a game called smash. We would build something and smash it.

More giggles and smiles.

He would try to taste it every once and a while, but we just reminded him not to, and he would go back to exploring. CUTE!
Ike giving his elephant kisses.
